Curious scientist with an adventurous vegabond spirit
I think the best part about science is that we get to explore and work with people. My inspiration comes from places and people I meet along the way. I believe that working with others allows us to design innovative solutions to complex problems because diverse perspectives let us include more pieces of the puzzle 🧩 and to consider contextual interactions 🌌 in our designs.
As a teammate, I aim to bring colourful play and spirit to our time together ideating and dreaming. I am a skateboarder who explores ideas horizontally - I don't want to be limited to only explore streets: I want to hop the curb, go on the sidewalk, skate on over to playground and then climb a little and continue skating along the road until I find a skatepark and hang out there for a bit. I enjoy working with drivers who have a laser-focused destination in mind and intentionally navigate their vehicle there (but that's just hard for me to do). I will gladly be a passenger, but I enjoy working with all types of people who explore ideas in all types of linear, nonlinear, zigzag, alphabet, and circular ways! You can crawl, roll, scooch, hopscotch, somersault, run, jog, cycle, scooter, lie, or sit* and we need all these ways of thinking to tackle our society's most pressing social problems. I also appreciate a more horizontal team structure where we all bring our talents to the table (because we all know I'm not the one to keep track of time or organize things unless it's a camping trip to the woods). Link to a detailed notes my friend and I took on our Killarney Provincial Park LaCloche Silhouette Trail trip (100 km)!
